The Swedish Institute for Food and Biotechnology AB - Institutet för Livsmedel och Bioteknik AB (SIK) is a private, non-profit, industrial research institute. SIK is a fully owned subsidiary of SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP Sveriges Tekniska Forskningsinstitut). The purpose of the Institute is to strengthen the competitiveness of its member companies. The core competence areas are food processing, food safety, food quality and environmental impact of food production. SIK has expertises in food science, process engineering, environmental science, and technology transfer.
